What are the engine options for the Hyundai Elantra?

The Hyundai Elantra comes with a few powerful engine options, which let you know up front that this is not going to be a typical sedan. Most trims come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers a solid 147 horsepower and pairs with a smooth continuously variable automatic transmission. With the N Line trim, the power is a little more pronounced. The first engine option here is a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that kicks the horsepower up to 201 and gives you a choice of either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Not enough power for you? Well, you’re in luck! The Elantra N version comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that cranks out a spectacular 276 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque, which pairs with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Power is the name of the game with the 2022 Hyundai Elantra!

What are the features of the 2022 Elantra?

Overall there are four trim levels available for the Elantra, including the N Line. We start with the SE, which comes with advanced features such as cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, dual USB ports, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want more convenience features, consider stepping up to the SEL as it comes with keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and satellite radio. With this trim, you have the option of two different packages known as the Convenience and the Premium. These packages add more creature comforts, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, wireless smartphone charging pad, a sunroof, and LED headlights and taillights. The Limited tacks on leather-trimmed seats, an enhanced voice recognition system, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation.

What are some safety features available for the Elantra?

The Elantra is not only powerful and well-equipped, but it’s also one of the safest sedans on the road, thanks to the numerous advanced safety systems. Starting with the base SE the Elantra comes with forward collision mitigation, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear-cross traffic collision avoidance assist, a driver attention warning, safe exit warning, and rear automatic braking. If you decide on one of the higher trims, the Elantra gets even better with safety systems such as adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors. You don’t have to worry when you’re behind the wheel of the Hyundai Elantra!
