The first trim is the SE, and the first thing we will talk about is what’s under the hood. Standard is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and can haul up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. The SE, like all trims, has the option of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that kicks out up to 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque and comes standard with all-wheel-drive. With this engine, the Santa Cruz can tow up to 5,000 pounds. Even with the base SE trim, the Santa Cruz is well equipped as it comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, open bed functionality, 18-inch alloy wheels, a self-leveling rear suspension, LED taillights, an integrated rear bumper side step, and an electronic parking brake.

The second trim is the superb SEL which sets the standard for what a pickup truck should be! It adds to the already well-equipped SE with a proximity key, push-button start, heated side mirrors with turn indicators, heated front seats, remote start, and an eight-way power driver seat with a power lumbar. The SE also comes with a ton of safety systems that allows you to drive with confidence. These include Blind-Spot Collison Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.

The SEL Premium is exactly what the name suggests, a premium pickup with some cutting-edge features. Coming standard, you will find a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual automatic temperature control with multi-air mode, paddle shifters, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a shift knob. Best of all, there are some fantastic design features such as body-color exterior door handles and LED headlights.

The last and final trim is the Limited. It rounds the Santa Cruz out nicely with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a Bose premium audio system. Also standard are some creature comforts such as leather-trimmed seats and ambient lighting for a more premium feel. Want to stay safer on the road?
