What is new for the interior of the 2022 Tucson?
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is all-new and takes this SUV’s styling far beyond where it once was. Hyundai styled the Tucson with dramatic angular lines on the exterior and elegant and straightforward on the interior. The Hyundai added beauty in the details on the Tucson from the sophisticated standout grille with hidden daytime running lights discreetly tucked away under the spoiler. The interior is energized and engaging. Hyundai’s new Multi-Air Mode technology makes climate control a breeze by softening the airflow. The Hands-free, gesture-free smart liftgate is class-exclusive and super convenient.
Is the 2022 Tucson available in a Hybrid model?
2022 marks the first year for Tucson’s available hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains. Both models come with a turbocharged 1.6-liter gasoline engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. The new Tucson Hybrid is based on the same excellent new chassis, which is super rigid and offers sufficient back-seat room. The Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid is a standard Tucson Hybrid with a larger battery charged at home or a charging station. The plug-in model comes with a 13.8-kWh lithium-ion battery in place of the 1.49-kWh unit. It also has a much more powerful electric motor, one with 90 horsepower instead of 59.
What is the Standard gas engine for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson?
The 2022 Tucson will now come standard with a 2.5-liter engine that provides a combined EPA of 29 mpg, 26 mpg in the city, and 33 mpg on the highway. The new all-wheel-drive Tucson is rated 24 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, making a combined mpg of 26.
